Please be informed that, as per the latest update published by VFS Global on 15 October 2026, all Japan visa applications from Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad and Goa must be submitted by prior appointment with effect from 19 October 2026.

Walk-in submissions will no longer be accepted for these locations, in accordance with the instructions of the Consulate General of Japan in Mumbai.

Important Instructions:

• Applicants must obtain an appointment before submitting their Japan visa applications.

• Walk-in submissions will not be accepted from 19 October 2026.

• Please plan your application and documentation process accordingly to avoid delays.
