Please note that the United Kingdom has transitioned to a fully digital immigration system and will now issue e-visas instead of physical visa stickers in passports, effective immediately.

Applicants will still be required to visit the Visa Application Centre (VAC) for biometric enrolment and identity verification. However, passports will be returned on the same day, as visa details will be issued in digital format and linked to the applicant’s UKVI account.

Key Highlights:

Physical visa stickers (vignettes) will be replaced with e-visas.

Applicants must create a UKVI online account and link it to their passport.

Each traveller must have a separate UKVI account.

Those holding a valid sticker visa do not need to reapply but must create and link a UKVI account.

Applicants can retain their passports after biometrics.

Applicants are advised to plan their applications accordingly.
